1st Official Portfolio Management Case Study

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’ll know that I worked with the Office for National Statistics last year helping to implement portfolio management across the organization in 100 days.  I’ve said in many blogs before that for me this role was a career highlight because I had such a great time working with really wonderful people.

Anyway, I’m incredibly happy to announce that the case study of the work we did at ONS has just been released by the UK Cabinet Office’s Best Management Practice website and you can download it by clicking here.

I hope you find it useful because a huge amount of work went into it, when I say work I don’t just mean writing it, I mean the energy of everyone involved during that time including the Permanent Secretary, Director General, Executive Leadership Team,  the Business Areas, project managers, Portfolio Office team and not forgetting Mr Acaster from the Cabinet Office.

So grab yourself a cup of tea and have a little read, I reckon you’ll need a good fifteen minutes to finish it in one sitting.  In addition, I will be using this case study as a basis for my APMG International webinar on Portfolio Management on 25 June, if you want to join the fun you can register here for free.

If  you have any queries, feel free to zap me a tweet

PS: You can find lots of other Case Studies regarding all the other best practice methodologies by checking out the Best Management Practice Website right here.
